Rebecca Hoskins - Career to Date - part 1

I commenced my RGN (Registered General Nursing) training straight from school having completed my A Levels. I started my training in the Bristol and Western School of Nursing. Having completed my training I commenced a six month contract in the Accident and Emergency department of the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Followed by ten months working as a Staff Nurse on an acute medical ward. I then went back to A&E for about four years where I also completed the A&E course, post registration course. I then moved to a district general hospital A&E department to take up my first sisters post for two years and while I was there I was lucky enough to also undertake a conversion course and to take my children's training. I also completed a degree in Nursing and a post graduate certificate in Management at the same time. From then on I moved to a Clinical Nurse Managers post at Bristol Children's Hospital in the A&E department and I started a post graduate diploma in Teaching. After that I moved back to general or adult A&E at the Bristol Royal Infirmary where I worked as a Lecture Practitioner.
