What's on the Midwifery Course

Clemmy a student midwife explains what's on the midwifery course

The first year of our degree was low risk midwifery so that was everything associated with normal birth and pregnancy. In the second year we covered a medical disorders module which was a bit more broad and we got a chance to look at the kind of situations you might encounter as a midwife and if someone has a disability such as if they were paraplegic. We can also choose a module towards the end of our second year which was either parent craft, breast feeding or complimentary therapies.
