One of the best things I like about being a student is the student life and the social life that you have, it's amazing. If you live on campus you've got so many people that live so close to you it's just easy to make new friends. You've got your students union bar which is great fun because it's cheap beer and it's a great night and you can just have a cheap night out and a hell of a lot of laughs.

There's so many different nights out that are student nights so you have discounted entry, discounted drinks. For different people in Bristol you've got many places that cater from your indie music to your R and B music, to your good old fashioned pop cheese music there's something for everyone and it is great to try and do all of it.

When you are at university you automatically become a member of the students union and that is one of the best things about being a student. You get a discount card so when you go into shops or anything you get more than likely 10% off everything. There's sport and societies clubs and there's one out there for everyone from chess to rugby to football to dance anything you want really and if there isn't one there that you like there's people there that can help you set one up. For other people like you who have a particular interest but there isn't a sports club or a society club to help support that just go to your students union and talk about it and you'll be able to set one up.

At Glenside we have a group of people called freshers angels and they are second and third years and they are people who take you out during freshers week, try and show you a good time, get you all mingling. They help you move in on your welcome weekend. They are there throughout the year so if you've got any problems about anything you can go and talk to them.

The social life of being a student is probably one of the best things and that's probably one of the biggest things I'm going to miss when I am qualified, being able to go out midweek on a really cheap night out and not get up the next day until midday when you've had a really awesome night, it's great fun.
